As the City of Quincy’s Public/Private Partnership for economic development, Quincy 2000 is the city’s business resource for new companies seeking to locate in the city and existing companies looking to grow and expand.

Our Board of Directors reflects the balance of public and private participation as the Mayor, City Council President, Planning Director sit alongside representatives from organized labor, large and small businesses and other city entities in a common cause to carry out the mission of Quincy 2000 Collaborative. A mission that was adopted at its inception in 1992 “to promote economic development that will enhance both the position and the perception of the City of Quincy, as a desirable place to live, work, invest and visit”.

Quincy 2000 continues to be regarded in economic development circles as a model and has received recognition from the US Conference of Mayors as a successful public-private partnership. As Chairman I am excited to continue the mission of Quincy 2000.  The newly established Quincy Restaurant League, Quincy Technology Council and expanded technical assistance progrmas are sure to bring new and exciting programs in 2007.

I hope to continue the strong partnership we have with the City administration, and continue to work with our Board members and many volunteers in strengthening our existing economic development programs, and provide new and innovative projects that will help ensure Quincy remains the economic engine of the South Shore.
